Well, he probably foxwalks, which DOES take considerable skill, and if you learn to do it correctly, you actually CAN walk up to a deer and pet it before it ever knows you’re there

This is an excerpt of an article he wrote about it. The idea isn’t just to move noiselessly through the forest, but also to be mindful and aware of your surroundings. There’s an entire philosophy behind it, and this kind of struck me as “the author knew about this and added it into Logan’s personality.” Seems like he’d vibe with that.

There are a lot of youtube tutorials of how to do it, but it’s fuckin HARD :(

PROTIP: I cannot speak as to the veracity of the “Apache” claims, or if any native peoples had a hand in this. I thought Tom Brown was Native American, but I’m not entirely sure.
