jean has virtually no relationship developed in the other movies with the people who made dark phoenix such a hard hitting storyline (herself but with a personality, storm, cyclops, charles) so really whats the point.
you can tell theyre focusing on charles and magneto again cause xmcu fans trust charles and that’s literally the only opportunity the narrative will have to generate any kind of emotion from its viewers.
